MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
Our Goal:
to provide the best care for our resident’s
through professional maintenance.
This
specialized department of THA has licensed
mechanical, natural gas, and electric contractors
on staff, along with State of Florida certified
energy auditor, and cathodic protection
trained personnel, along with skilled carpenters,
and apprentices that handle most needs of
modern public housing.
Maintenance departments
include:
Grounds maintenance
Mechanical and gas
Carpentry
Electrical
Work orders
Inventory and procurement
Modernization
Along with daily routine
maintenance, this department is active in
design, and construction of modern new facilities.
Projects in progress at this time are new
tennis court facilities, renovation of the
Orange Avenue Community Center and remodeling
of single family homes. Future projects include
a new community center at our Springfield
Apartments with a fully automated laundry
room and a full basketball court and the redevelopment
of our Ebony Gardens community (to be renamed
Goodbread Hills).
All maintenance department
staff are required to have 15 hours of continuing
education each year for their specialized
trade, through in house classes, certified
and conducted by Maintenance Department personnel.
The maintenance department
offers regular routine service during regular
business hours and EMERGENCY SERVICE
AFTER HOURS AND WEEKENDS ALL YEAR. AFTER HOURS
