The Tallahassee Housing Authority
offers a number of affordable rental housing
options for families. We own and operate over
538 apartments and scattered site homes throughout
the city and county. We pride ourselves in maintaining
our
properties
at high
standards.
We offer townhouses, apartments and single family
units that meet the needs of the residents and
our community.
Some describe it as "temporary
housing", because it is available to
extremely-low to low income residents and
is used to assist the families in
preparation for home-ownership or financial
stability.
Participants are responsible for paying
approximately 30% of the household's "adjusted"
income. This amount is known as "total
tenant payment."
Applications
can be obtained by contacting the Tallahassee
Housing Authority at (850) 385-6126 or
e-mailing your request to angela@tallha.org,
don't forget to include your mailing
address and telephone number. Please
note the waiting list is currently open
for 4 and 5 bedroom units only.
We also own 36 scattered
three bedroom, two bath single family homes
located in subdivisions of Valley Green, Lakewood
Village, Huntington Woods, Plantation Woods,
Arbor Hills and the Meadows at Woodrun.
Public Housing provides activity space
for DISC Village (after school tutorial,
prevention/intervention programs).
There is a resident organization that
residents
can become involved in. Properties are
managed by our professional staff, who
work with
our residents to help ensure that their
needs are met. For more information call
