NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE TALLAHASSEE HOUSING AUTHORITY’S HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV) ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN

The Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA) is announcing a 30-day public comment period for the proposed changes to the THA’s Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan.  THA will receive written comments regarding the proposed changes during a 30-day public comment period to commence August 26, 2019 through September 25, 2019.

A copy of the proposed changes is available below. Copies of the full HCV Administrative Plan are available at the THA main office (2940 Grady Rd, Tallahassee FL 32312).

The Tallahassee Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will vote on the adoption of this policy on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The date, time and location of the meeting are subject to change. Current Language

1) Families who are Exiting Permanent Supportive Housing‐ Contingent upon availability (as determined by THA), THA will offer a preference and make up to maximum of 50 vouchers available to families successfully exiting permanent supportive housing and referred by the Coordinated Entry agency designated by the Tallahassee ‐Leon County Affordable Housing Workgroup. Note: Successfully exiting from permanent supportive housing means the family is in good standing and has satisfied all requirements of the program.

Proposed Language

Families who are Exiting Transitional, Supportive, or Permanent Housing- Contingent upon availability (as determined by THA), THA will offer a preference and make up to a maximum of 50 vouchers available to families progressing toward a successful exit from transitional, supportive, or permanent supportive housing programs. Referrals will be made through the Big Bend CoC Coordinated Entry System as designated by the Tallahassee-Leon County Affordable Housing Workgroup.  Note: Successfully exiting from a program means the household is in good standing and has satisfied all requirements of the program.
