Career Opportunity: Executive Director

Summary: The Executive Director reports to the Board of Commissioners of the Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA), and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the agency. This role ensures the effective and compliant delivery of safe, decent, and affordable housing programs and services to low-income residents in Tallahassee, while fostering strong relationships with the Board, staff, residents, and community partners. Key Responsibilities: Provides strategic vision and leadership for all THA programs and initiatives. Oversees financial management, budgeting, and compliance with HUD regulations and other applicable laws. Manages all operational aspects, including public housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, and resident services. Acts as the primary liaison between the THA and federal, state, and local government entities, as well as community stakeholders, and leads and develops a high-performing staff to achieve organizational goals.

Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field (master's preferred). Demonstrated senior leadership experience in public housing, non-profit management, or a related field. Strong knowledge of HUD regulations and affordable housing programs, and excellent communication, financial management, and organizational leadership skills.
