Notice regarding Housing Choice Voucher Program Housing Assistance Payments

Dear Landlord/Property Manager,

We are writing to inform you of a temporary delay in the disbursement of your December 2025 Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) due to a current shortfall in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

HUD has advised the Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA) that they anticipate funds to be available and released within the coming weeks. They are diligently working to expedite the provision of necessary funding to our agency to ensure payments can resume without further delay.

We do not possess additional details at this time. However, please be assured that we are closely monitoring this situation and will issue updates promptly upon HUD's authorization of fund release.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause and appreciate your patience and continued participation in the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Ensuring timely and accurate payments to our participating landlords remains a paramount priority.
